Just found this site today after an email from my sister, Maureen McLean from Susan ?. What a lot of work you have done to set this up and maintain it. Really great! Since I was in the class of '62, I'm looking forward to the BIG class reunion. See you there!

Love looking at all the pix you've got online. Really good work.

I join with Joany in thanking Willie Lay for all his good work. The reunion sounds great.

I am not with out some recollections of the 5 couples involved but I don't want to snitch. Plus memory therapy is good for old people. Ok here are two. Ricky Wheeler was the thrower and Sissy Enlow the one who rolled up the window that caused the explosin in the car.

My thanks to Robert for his leadership on this project.

When I came out of retirement two years ago to take on a new project, I commented that the news release reminded me of an obituary. So here it is:

OK...... I am old and don't remember the Tumble Weed Club. That must have been one of them WEST Helena joints. But I, like Kathy, would like to know who was with that wild hoodum Phifer. Making a forty six year old confession of my own. It was John Seeman, Sandra Oldham, and myself that late one evening, "borrowed" the totum pole from the Mohawk Rubber company and placed it lovingly in its rightful place in front of the high school. Any other confessions, he said with a smile. ...............Robert

On New Years Eve our freshman year, 5 couples went for a ride in my 54 Olds 98. We went to the parking lot of the Tumble Weed Club out on the end of South Seventh Street. We would drive through the parking lot, roll down the rear window and throw out a Cherry bomb and speed off. Any one remember being there? If you do let me know. Howe about Ricky Wheeler?
